Head to toe series - Earrings †

I've been umming and arring over what to write about next, but my fingers are craving a keyboard. After the recent lottery talk thats been about recently, i've been fantasizing like crazy over the things i would buy. I will admit i winge about materialistic beings, but to have that amount of money i know it would be hard not to. I'm constantly one to 'window shop' and i live for clothes. Apart from art, its the only thing i'm really passionate about. And i am most definitely not the cleverest of people, so when it comes to things i'm good at i'll try my best to make the most of it. Therefor, this post is all about what i love and if i had the money, the things i would purchase. Hopefully it gives you guys a chance to get to know me, and my style. I'm not too sure how i'm going to go about this quite yet so i may have been writing this for a few days before the post goes up haha. I really wouldn't know how to describe my style, or me for that matter. I definitely think that your style reflects your personality, so its silly to follow the crowd and look the same as everybody else right? I like change and i'd most certainly prefer to be myself, as apposed to what every body else wants you to be. I have been through stages in my early teen years of being a sheep and its taken me a while to find myself, and i am still in that process. I've actually decided whilst writing this that i'm going to do this in a series of posts, going from head to toe. So, watch this space and let me know if you think this would be a good idea?! some idea's on what you'd all like to see, or a better idea on how i could do this then please let me know!

I've picked out a selection of earrings that i have in my want list, that a absolutely love and all reflect my style in different ways. The cross earrings in particular have been wanted for a very vert long time, and i am determined to have them in the near future. I shall list the prices, and where i found them below and the numbers will go from top left to right (hopefully you understand what i mean)

A little bite of my life.

I'm currently in a wee bit of a pickle. Constricted to my front room/kitchen, with my eyes streaming feel a wee hot and bothered. After feeling a little peckish this morning i found myself cooking up a BLT (bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich to all you others that haven't the foggiest). Massive mistake. I burnt my bacon, and if i even think to open my door for a second the whole buildings fire alarms will go crazy. Being stuck in one room is certainly not my idea of a monday morning of all days, as i'm home alone and now stuck in this disaster. So here i am, with nothing but my laptop and the television and the perfect opportunity for a blog post! This blog, is more than a muddle and not very consistent in its subject and i'm not to sure how its going to go down. Maybe you enjoy reading about my extremely flustered morning at my expense, i don't know..let me know? After the last post that i added, i've had a rummage around the internet and a fiddle on photoscape, i have decided that by the end of this week i shall have 'pillar box' red hair. Yes, i know my hair my be on its death bed after the amount its been through in its 17 years of life and most certainly in the last month or two but i promise you, and my hair that this shall be the end of its torture. After research, and a lot of it i have settled on purchasing the 'Majiccontrast by Loreal' in red. Its not too pricey, considering i have relatively short hair therefore only really needing one tube.I couldn't find it in the shops, but have found it on ebay making it around 12 pounds per tube plus peroxide costing 5 pounds maximum. I'm hoping that it will turn out a real red as apposed to the ever popular Rihanna shade, i don't like to follow the sheep. So, if you'd like me to take you through the steps and my method of doing it then leave a comment or what ever and i shall! Heres a picture i messed around with, to show you the shade i'm going for..what you think?

I have also noticed, that my fashion posts are a little more popular than the other miss match of ramble so i'm going to post some more. I'm planning on a 'Lust for' number and some pictures so keep your eyes peeled.

After a long, hard debate with myself and others i decided that i'd like my hair red. I was put off the idea simply because it seemed to become a little over popular shall we say after rihannah decided on it also. But, of course silly me didn't think and went a head and brought a simple drugstore box dye. i knew the outcome wouldn't be amazing but, i did it anyway. The box its self looked promising, and as my hair was fairly light to start with i was expecting great results. I started off with the LIVE luminance by schwarzkopf in the colour 'infa red'. This was a permanent dye and and was extremely quick and easy to use.

However, it turned out this burnt orange/ginger colour. Although others tell me that in the day light it was more of a red than a orange. I actually really loved it and was going to keep it in its ginger state after being reassured. But, unfortunately despite the cold water hair washing and not much of it, it faded with in a week and was back to its old ways. I then decided that i was going to dismiss the LIVE box colours and opt for something a little more promising in its appearance (Not much more, but a little better) although i only had a little amount of money to spend i purchased this, 'Garnier Nutrisse in Firey Red'. It actually turned out beautifully, but i didn't get a picture. It was a lot brighter than on the box and i loved it, but as expected its faded now but it lasted a lot longer! 3 weeks in fact, i am certainly impressed!

Heres a picture of it now, not too bad i guess!

Mm Fruity

After a long hard day of doing nothing, and wanting it to stay that way, it seems i have suddenly come over all creative and inspired to write about these more than surprising products i came across in my little box of what were once 'unwanted gifts'. I have to say, that saying 'unwanted' makes me feel a little guilty. I'm sure that to many people, christmas time is notorious for giving and receiving the good old classic socks and underwear, ties and those little chocolate father christmases. But, over the years i have managed to grow a healthy collection of bath products also. By no means am i ungrateful for what i am extremely generously given, i'm just happen to push them a side with the intention of using them, and forgetting they exist and if i'm honest, i'm not itching to use them the moment i lay my eyes on the packaging. After a good few months of this particular item collecting dust, i stumbled across it one morning whilst searching for my naughty white eye liner that loves to run away and hide every now and again. Conveniently i had just that morning ran out of shower gel, and to find these products certainly put my mind at ease. If you have read this post before you will know that the previous image was rather on the shabby side and were looking a bit poopy. As promised, i've managed to battle the technical problems and fix my snazzy camera, bringing you some just as snazzy shots of the product its self.
The packaging, that i unfortunately no longer have, most definitely did not do such a wonderful product the justice it really deserves. It was bland, and yellow with some rather tacky less than pleasing flowers aimlessly dotted about on a flimsy, thin cardboard box shall we say. I'm sure you can tell that i was not best pleased. However, i'm sure you'll agree that the actual product looks rather lovely. I like things to be to the point, as is this. For the last few weeks, i have been trying out these products and boy do they smell good. I would more than likely eat them if i could. If you knew me, you would know that i am not the biggest fan of coconut and usually, cannot stand the stuff, but i can safely say i have been converted. The flavors, if you can't read from the image are; Raspberry Milkshake, Orange Smoothie, Coconut Ice cream and Lemon Souffle. All of which smell absolutely lovely, possibly orgasmic..they really are that good and linger for a long time after. I've done my research, and am pleased to say that they are made completely animal testing free on top of the rest of its pleasing features, although the website that i eventually found them on is not as good as it could be.
After searching the website, it seems that the prices are reasonable and a similar gift set to this are sold from £6.00. Extremely reasonable in my opinion for the product your buying! I also forgot to mention (or i didn't realize) that they are actually flight friendly so perfect for going on holiday, and you could take all four flavors :)

Please bare in mind that i have not been payed, or asked to review this product and am simply writing about it because i want to. Everything i have written about is my honest opinion.

a whole new love affair

I am in love. After watching the beautiful Lexi on good old you tube, i have discovered a whole new planet that i was not aware of. Please don't question me how, or why i was oblivious of this marvelous world of amazingness but i am more than excited to say the least. In her latest video that i will add to the bottom of this post, she introduced me to 'NASTY GAL'. Now, i am certainly not as some would say rollin' in the dollar, in fact i currently do not have a job and am in between college's there for i do not have a dime to spend. I was going to mention that as soon as i get my hands on some well earnt money it will more than likely being going on something or other from this lovely website;but after naively getting myself all hot and bothered over all the lovely items, i managed to of course skip the price side of things until just now. Being the Charity shop, ebay lover that i am..i was in a deep trance of horror. After a long time of purchasing item after item at the highest price of 7 smakeroons (£8.00 to be pushing it), it was natural for me to be less than amused to find that i could be paying up to 80 dollars on a measly crop top that i can more than likely find in a charity shop and make myself for a fraction of the price. None the less, i shall still oogle over some of the lovely looking items that they are selling, and also let you lot have a peek but i assure you that a lot of the garments on that website are easily made with in reason. and maybe, i can show you all how too also. Of course, if you have the money to splash and can justify these prices, then you are extremely lucky i tell you and i would be jealous. But, for now i think i can make do!

Unfortunately, i was un able to use photo's from their webiste. However i have managed to find a few images of a few girls wearing a handful of bits from the brand and most definitely make it look good. Enjoy!

I think you will all agree on how beautiful these things are, although they don't capture the grungy, edgy look that i'd like to show you. I am totally head over heals with those amazing sunnies, very vintage esque i must say. This post if a very big miss match of opinions of the website, and could be i suppose very controversial matter but by no means am i telling you that it would be a sin for you to buy items from here. I just personally am not in a position to be able to purchase such lovely things and can't really justify spending 100 pounds on something so materialistic. I like to appreciate things not so pricey and a little jagged round the edges and make them lovely too! I'm sure after reading this blog post, you will notice that i do like to ramble, but i really seem to be getting into this blogging malarky and have rather enjoyed myself taking my mind of things and writing about things i love.

Saying all of this, there is certainly one thing in particular that is available to purchase that i will justify buying for the price they are, are the ever famous Jeffery Campbell Lita's. Unless you have been living under neath a rock recently, you will know what i am talking about. I however, am still to add these to my wardrobe and simply because i just cannot afford them, but if you can i would snap yourself up a pair right away. They seem to be all the rage at this current moment in time and i have no problem understanding why. Being extremely unique and surprisingly versatile they seem to give any outfit a instant edge and unique 'je ne sais quoi'. Even though they may not be to everyones taste and require a certain attitude to wear with them, i would say that they are a fantastic investment to anyones wardrobe. I'm almost certain you could easily grow to love these amazing shoes and heck, you can work on the attitude right? They may even bring in a little money in 50 years time!

I personally would pair these with high waisted shorts, socks and any top tucked in. Tassle crop tops, or a vintage 'mumsy' floaty blouse would go perfectly with a pair of camplells..or, alternatively a simple summer dress, tied in at the waist with any belt worn either in the day, or in the night time, for both looks. As i said before, these are some mean versatile shoes!
This is just my personal style and by no means am i telling you how to dress, these are just some ways that i would wear them.
